Interior design is anything we choose to use for the beautification of our homes. It can also by used in the the interior of any building, public or private. How about your office? It can include the interior structural design, color, finishes, and furnishings.
The American settlers had simple furniture. The pieces were usually made from native of native plants and woods. The earliest American furniture was often rough hewn and quite rustic by modern standards. They used established metal works, such as pewter and spun their own fabrics. There wasn’t much need for curtains on the open prairie. In the late American colonial period furniture copied the polished mahogany of Georgian mansion furniture of after the English style. Styles we recognize as Pennsylvania Dutch (German) are still popular today. Have fun out there.
